The HVA can now offer residents of Holybourne their own name@holybourne.com email address, the address is easy to remember, reflects where you live and could be very useful for local organisations. Secondly, you will also be supporting the HVA funding for its varied activities on behalf of the village.
Q What are the advantages for you?
A Well for a start the chances are that you can pick your own name or organisation such as WI@Holybourne.com or personal, Billy@Holybourne.com, or a business address such as Acme@Holybourne.com . The address is easier to remember than most email addresses and reflects where you live.
Secondly, if you change ISP then you don't have to tell everyone your new email address as you only need to let us know and we map your Holybourne.com address to your new email address - easy to take advantages of the best ISP offers. Your Holybourne.com address stays with you and not your ISP.
Flexibility - for organisations or businesses the address can go with the position and not the person so as the person changes we map the position address to the ISP email address of the new person.
Q How does it work, does it mean I have to change my ISP?.
A The service is simply an email 'redirection' service such that you keep your current ISP and the associated email address i.e name126@aol.com or name126@btopenworld.com and this ISP provides your normal email service. The name@holybourne.com address receives your email and directs it to your ISP email address.
Q Can I send email with my new address?
A For those using MS Outlook, you can even send email with the holybourne.com email address as the sender, a simple additional account is all that is needed. For AOL users I am afraid I do not yet know a way of doing this.
Q How much will this cost me?
A Very cheap at £5 per person per year or £10 pa per family (max 5 addresses). So come on, have a go, support the village, all money that we get will go directly to the HVA so you can also look on this as a charitable donation that gives you a really useful email address.
Q How do I pay?
A Make out a cheque payable to the HVA and send to Vicky Kemp .  Her address and contact details will be sent to you by email acknowledging your order.
Q How do I Register?
A Read the Terms and Conditions at the link below, complete and submit the subscription form below.  The details will automatically be sent to the webmaster who will set up your addresses and confirm this to you by email through your new address.  The email will also contain the contact details for payment.
